Despite reports to the contrary, AMD did in fact have their 45nm Shanghai quad-core parts up and running at the show, though there was no information on the clock speeds being divulged.

We knew near the end of 2007 that AMD was expecting the arrival of the first 45 nm Shanghai samples around the first of the year. It now seems that those initial samples were fairly successful as AMD is showing off working 45 nm silicon at CeBIT. The chips in question are apparently Shanghai based and they are running a variety of OSs and applications. AMD is of course not talking about things such as clockspeed, but we can assume that the products being shown are likely the first major respin from the original samples that showed up early in January.

Dailytech has some new information on Diamondville, Intel's major push into the world of ultra-low power form factors that we are used to seeing VIA excel in. The processors are set at a 4-8 watts (!!) TDP and should find their way into a lot of interesting designs in the future.

Information has hit the web courtesy of some clumsy IT at Sun Microsystems that shows Intel's plans for a 6-core (or Hexa-core) processors based on the existing Penryn core. Codenamed the "Dunnington", perhaps in a nod to what they are hoping AMD will be after its release (get it, "done"-ington?), the CPU will feature three seperate dies each with their own dual-core setup and each with their own 3MB of L2 cache. All six cores will then share in a 16MB portion of L3 cache, setting up a cache hierarchy much like that of AMD's Barcelona CPUs.

According this very tiny news post at Fudzilla, its possible that AMD is still going to be coming in Q2, even though we had previous heard the B3 stepping was pushed back into Q3.
Phenom 9600 at 2.6GHz will launch with B3 revision at some
point in late Q2. You should be able to see and buy this CPU before July but we
don’t have any better date that that.

As it turns out, the third, or maybe fourth iteration, nope 5th version of Centrino is going to be called "Centrino 2". Well, its about time - and I actually mean that: this will help consumer confusion between different versions of Centrino technology.
