If you ever wanted a super fast, and super hot notebook desktop replacement part, this looks like it could be it. The Dell Inspiron XPS Gen 2 is powered by a Dothan core Pentium M processor but that is countered by the use of the NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 Ultra GPU!
Considering that this is a notebook that is supposed to be mainly running on AC, we were pleased with the results.

Andrew Ku of Hot Hardware has published a review of the Asus Z80K notebook based on the Athlon 64 processor. Coming in at over 8 pounds, they think it may not be a great system for every day travel.
So what's the bottom line? Why buy this notebook over Dell's or HP's desktop replacements? Well, given that our sample was priced at $1,744.99, Asus is offering a quality notebook at a very competitive price point.

Our buddies over at Anandtech have done a little write up on the recently announced AMD Turion 64 technology, so head on over and give it a read if you are interested in the next AMD mobile products.

ExtremeTech has rounded up the best mobile graphics modules available today and set them head to head through a series of benchmarks. From the "original" GeForce Go 6800 based on DDR1 memory to ATI's flagship Mobility Radeon X800 and even the new GeForce Go 6800 using DDR3, there are sure to be some impressive benchmark numbers.
