While this certainly isn't the first stock-overclocked card offered by an OEM, this is quite a bit more agressive than I've seen before. In the past, users didn't jump for a 2% increase in clock speeds, but perhaps this pumped up card is the beginning of a new trend?
Quote: "The Gigabyte GV-N595U-GT is for those who have the money and can't live
without the best nVIDIA card. Don't like the stock FX5950 Ultra speed, but
are afraid to overclock? The GV-N595U-GT is for you. Already have a video
editing / capturing software suite? The GV-N595U-GT is for you.

Things are set to get interesting in the world of computer graphics, with nVidia expected to launch NV40 by April 15, and ATi launching their X800 Pro (formerly known as R420) on the 26th of this month. While early reports indicate that NV40 will greatly raise the performance bar, only time will tell if ATi can match. At any rate, the continuing war is nothing but good for us, the buyers :)

The 9600 basically tied the FX5600 Turbo, winning two benchmarks, losing
two and tying one.

One thing in the Video Card world that always makes me laugh is they are just like processors. The 2 big boys trade blows back and forth for performance and pricing. But with this new 5900XT, Im not sure where Nvidia planned to put it in the market. With this review from [H]ard|OCP, it's hard to imagine where they wanted to put it. ATi's 9600XT pricepoint and quality certainly gives it a nod from me when reading this review.
