Shifting into gear
System reviews are interesting in that anyone can put some PC components in a case and call it a gaming rig. The real issue is not just the hardware specs but how the company presents itself and how it supports customers before, during and after the purchase process. Having a 6-core processor overclocked to 4.5 GHz and a pair of GTX 480s never hurts though.

Despite the difference in materials, the MacBook essentially has the same physical specifications as the MacBook Pro. The display size is 13.3 inches, and unlike most PC laptops, the MacBook still has a display aspect ratio of 16:10. The MacBook is a powerful laptop for its size, both in terms of processing power and graphics power.
2011 Can't Get Here Fast Enough
The original Athlon architecture has been refined and reused for the past decade at AMD. Now we finally received the first glimpse of a brand new architecture from AMD, and one that they hope will again place them at the forefront of innovation. Bulldozer is AMD's best hope to relive the success of the original Athlon and Athlon 64, and it has a good chance of doing so for the company.

Companies like ASRock and ECS are working to compete with giants in the motherboard industry like ASUS and Gigabyte, but they are taking a different path to winning over the hearts and minds of consumers. ECS is developing mobos that not only meet the performance needs of consumers, but they are also working to bring similar technologies and chipsets to market at a lower cost. The H55H-M is one of those boards selling for around $65 from most vendors, but it gives users a capable board that can handle any LGA 1156 processor and even a decent PCI-E graphics card to boot.

Old News at 4 Months of Age?
With all the GTX 460 news swirling around the industry, I thought I would take a step back and take a different angle at the older, but very powerful, GTX 480 from MSI. Tessellation performance and GPGPU application support are two areas where I focused on, and the results I have found are somewhat telling about the state of tessellation in the graphics industry.

Most hardcore gamers build their own systems and usually base them off the ATX motherboard form factor. Unfortunately, lugging a heavy ATX system to LAN parties is not very convenient or functional. NZXT has heard the gaming community's call for an innovative micro ATX gaming case, and the new Vulcan case falls gives them many of the features they put on their hardware wish lists.
