Intel i7 Extreme 920XM with NVIDIA GTX 280M Performance Review - Breaking the Mobile Speed Barrier

Subject: Mobile
Manufacturer: Intel

Test System Configuration

The Intel Core i7 Extreme 920XM CPU represents Intel's fastest mobile processor currently available on the market. It clocks in at 3.2 GHz, uses 45nm manufacturing process, and consumes 55W TDP.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 280M 1GB GPU onboard is perhaps the most exciting component for gamers. It's been marketed as the world's fastest mobile GPU (now arguably this title belongs to AMD) and the reviews of this component since its release in June 2009 have been very positive. We're going to toss some recent release games at it like The Saboteur, and Dragon Age: Origins to see if it lives up to the hype.

Note: v195 graphics drivers caused instability, therefore v186 was used.
