In the low resolutions, the video card has less of an effect on the overall speed than the processor and memory subsystem do. Here, because we are using identical setups, the cards a very close in the results, with the ATI Radeon 8500 inching a lead.

In the 16-bit mode as this resolution, the cards are still extremely close in scores. However, at the 32-bit resolution, the cards begin to separate themselves slightly. The Ti4400 is about 3.5% faster than the Radeon card.

And we begin to separate the cards even further, showing who is in charge. The Ti4400 card is outperforming the Ti4200 and the Radeon 8500 by 10% and 22% respectively, in the 32-bit color mode. However, the bigger surprise is that the 64 MB Ti4200 card is able to out perform the Radeon card by 10% as well.
