Metro 2033 (DirectX 11)

latest addition to our gaming benchmark suite, Metro 2033 is one of the
best looking PC games in years.  By utilizing some advanced DX11
features as well as impressively high-quality shading routines this
title pushes our graphics in way we have seen since the first days of

We ran Metro 2033 with Advance DOF disabled.

It is obvious here that the Radeon HD 5870 single-GPU card just cannot keep up with the GTX 480 or the GTX 580 our Metro 2033 testing.  The Radeon HD 5970 does pretty well for itself and gives the GTX 580 a run for its money.  As for a 580/480 performance gain, in this game we are looking at about 15%.

Very obviously the GTX 580s in the SLI configuration are dominant and see as much as 77% scaling going from a single card to a pair, making 2560x1600 completely playable at top quality settings.  Also worth noting, at the 1920x1200 resolution, that pair of GTX 460s in SLI are just as good as the GTX 580.
