Some interesting results come to light here. In fact, things are a bit more compressed than we would expect. The slowest of the bunch is the slightly overclocked R7870 from XFX. Next up is the heavily overclocked N580GTX XE from MSI. As expected, the two HD 7900 series cards take the lead. Something to keep in mind is that the MSI R7970 Lightning clocked at 1070 MHz is right around the speed of a standard GTX 680.

399$ also buy ya a gtx670. Title says 670 but in the benchmark graph's list a 580.

In the "Test Setup" section I explained what cards I used in this review. So far I have no GTX 670 or 680 boards in residence for comparison purposes.

heh, yeah Allyn needs to hook him up :P

Probably because of all the games he has to keep installed on there

Yeah, that would really only affect loading times, which I don't test when doing a vid card review. But Allyn is always welcome to throw me some SSDs whenever he feels like it!
