The Rosewill Tachyon-1000 power supply is rated for a combined, continuous output power of up to 1000 watts at 50°C operating temperature (internal case air temperature).  The PSU includes universal AC line input (automatically adjusts to the AC line voltage) and active PFC, which makes the unit more environmentally friendly to the local power grid.  The Tachyon-1000 features a single +12V rail that can deliver up to 83A (996W) of power; virtually the entire capacity of the unit.

The Rosewill Tachyon-1000 power supply arrived securely packed inside a standard retail box that highlights the unit's main features and specifications.  The power supply is protected by foam inserts and the modular cables come packed inside a black nylon pouch.  In addition to the power supply the package includes a power cord, mounting screws, Nylon pouch with modular cables, wire ties, and User's Manual.

A total of 8 modular cables come neatly packed inside a black and silver nylon storage pouch along with one 4-pin FDD cable adapter.

I was going to say "What a great deal!" but then I looked up the price on Newegg. $240 bucks today. You've reviewed it too well.

If Seasonic's 1000W is cheaper with the rebate, has a better warranty, and a better reputation, then why would somebody go with the Rosewill? It seems like a strange pricing strategy by Newegg.

Maybe because the Rosewill performs better?

Maybe because if you actually understood what wrote in the reviews, you'd have seen that the Rosewill's ripple suppression is better?

Or maybe because you judged things by their brand like an idiot?
