Introduction and Features

1,200 Watts of DC power bathed in liquid coolant gives this power supply an extreme Koolness factor! Check out the review to see how it performed.

The Koolance 1,200W power supply is unique.  Not only is it one of the first PC power supplies to offer 1,200 watts of DC output, it is the first PC power supply that includes a true submersive liquid cooling system.  The Koolance 1,200W power supply housing is filled with a non-conductive coolant that directly absorbs heat from all the submerged components.  A small integrated pump circulates the coolant thru an external radiator that dissipates heat into the room air outside of the PC enclosure.

Establishing an accurate load is critical to testing and evaluating a PC power supply.  PCPerspective’s power supply test bench can place a precise 2,000 watt DC load on the PSU under test.  Each power supply is tested under controlled, real-world conditions up to its maximum rated load, using both 115 VAC and 240 VAC line voltage.  Our current suite of tests includes:

  • DC Load Regulation
  • DC Line Regulation
  • DC Cross-load (unbalanced load)
  • AC Ripple and Noise
  • Power Factor
  • Efficiency
  • Differential Temperature
  • Noise
  • Size and Weight
