The AORUS P850W power supply is rated for a combined, continuous output power of up to 850 watts (max operating temperature not specified). The PSU incorporates a single +12V rail that can deliver up to 846 (70.5A) and includes universal AC line input (automatically adjusts to the AC line voltage between 100 and 240 VAC) and active PFC, which makes the unit more environmentally friendly to the local power grid.

Packaging and Parts

The AORUS P850W power supply arrived packed inside a shrink-wrapped retail box showcasing the unit’s features and specifications.

The power supply is protected by thick foam inserts. All the cables and accessories are inside the black bag with the AORUS logo.

In addition to the power supply, the box contains a power cord, mounting screws, a User Manual, and a bag of modular cables.

The AORUS P850W power supply comes with a good assortment of all modular cables. (See specs table above for connector count and cable lengths.)

Note the small solid polymer capacitors wired into the ends of the main power cables to help filter out any residual AC ripple and noise. Normally these are sleeved to the cable bundle and in fact Gigabyte informed us this will probably be done during the next production run.

Are the cables going to remain flat ribbon or will they be sleeved for production units?

I actually prefer flat ribbons.

Yes, as far as we know the cables will remain the flat ribbon style (just sleeving the caps at the ends).
