Introduction

EVGA has one of the largest selections of PC power supplies on the market, which currently range from 400W all the way up to 1600W. The G1 Series has been around for several years and continues to be very popular. The latest iterations adds a plus + to the name along with several enhancements. We will be taking a detailed look at the EVGA SuperNOVA 1000W G1+ power supply in this review.

The new G1+ lineup includes four models: 650W, 750W, 850W and 1000W. They are all 80 Plus Gold certified, are fully modular, and are built with high-quality components like 100% Japanese made capacitors and a very quiet Fluid Dynamic Bearing (FDB) fan. Some of the latest G1+ enhancements include:

•    Quiet 135mm FDB fan (up to 20% quieter)
•    Very tight +12V load regulation
•    Up to 20mm shorter chassis

The G1+ Series chassis is up to 20mm shorter than earlier G1 models (20mm for the 1000/850 G1+ and 10mm for the 750/650 G1+). They all feature a single +12V rail with even tighter load regulation (<1%) and are protected by a full suite of heavy duty safety circuits (OVP, UVP, OCP, OPP, SCP, and OTP). And last but not least you can find the 1000W model selling for $129.99 USD (newegg.com October 2018).
