The new generation of AMD boards feature some interesting aesthetic choices, such you can see on ASRock's X470 Taichi Ultimate. The black and grey theme is contrasted by the RGBs you already knew were present, but it is worth noting that TechPowerUp considered the implementation of the blinken lighten as exceptional. Sadly the same could not be said of the audio chipset on the board, which they found lacklustre for a flagship model. Their overclocking tests showed no deficiencies, the boards ability was met or exceeded the other X470 boards they have tried.

I’d rather have a Buildzoid
I’d rather have a Buildzoid or GN look at any MB AM4/other MB and especially at Any New TR4/TR motherboards that will have to be future proofed for Threadripper 2 and Overclocking! So that’s going to require more removing of Ugly covers and more closeups of the VRMs if folks are even considering any overclocking.
I never look at a VRMs maximum operating current as that usually comes outside of most of the VRM’s efficiency curve. So make with more VRM phases, enough to provide the current/voltage at the most efficient point on the VRM’s efficiency plot. The more the marrier the less the hairier and the VRMs begin to go all rice krispies!
Too bad you cant count on
Too bad you cant count on ASRock to update their software and drivers because the hardware designs are nice. You might get one update after launch if you are lucky.

Well, that doesn’t really matter on VGA’s anyways.
But I never had any problems with their stuff. What you need is a good Bios and hardware. Drivers is not Asrock problem.
They really do good designs, can’t wait to see their MK2
