The guys at The Inq snapped some pics of the new Toshiba Qosimo laptop with HD-DVD built in. The pictures show a new touch-pad design that has tap-sensitive areas that macro to actions (i.e. e-mail, web browser, print) and to top it off the pad is also backlit. It’s not a huge innovation, but it’s still good to see something different on a laptop.

“The best of the bunch was the backlit trackpad function buttons. Instead of the useless keys you have on top of the laptop, you now have a bunch of useless keys on the trackpad, and they are backlit. And blue. And bright. Still useless, but they do look cool, see?”
