Things are finally heating up in the graphics world at the mid range level, with the introduction of the HD3870 and HD3850.  Not only do these cards signify a complete change in the way ATI/AMD names their cards, but they are also a huge change from the release of the HD2900 series.  These 2 cards deliver some serious performance for their price range, with the 3850 capable of out performing the 8800GT in some tests.  Check out the action at [H]ard|OCP, who test both of these cards.

Ryan has also posted a reivew, including a few games that [H] didn’t test, as well as a look at Crossfire performance so check out his take, and maybe give him a Digg or a bump on Slashdot.
