Sometimes information comes from the least likely of sources. Deadmau5, one of the world's biggest names in house music, posted an interesting picture to his Instagram feed a couple of days ago.

Well, that's interesting. A quick hunt on Google for the NVIDIA M6000 reveals rumors of it being a GM200-based 12GB graphics card. Sound familiar? NVIDIA recently announced the GeForce GTX TITAN X based on an identical configuration at GDC last week.

A backup of the Instagram image...in case it gets removed.

With NVIDIA's GPU Technology Conference coming up starting this Tuesday, it would appear we have more than one version of GM200 incoming.

Why are they not in SLI?

March 14, 2015 | 02:49 PM - Posted by Anonymous (not verified)

They are for rendering. You don't use a SLI bridge if you want to use them for rendering.

Stereo connectors on a video card? Must be for VR devices...

March 14, 2015 | 05:36 PM - Posted by Jabbadap (not verified)

Afaik that connector has been on quadros for ages. It's been used for 3d classes(It's been on quadro only feature long before 3d vision were introduced for geforces). See i.e.

Browse linux driver docs for more information(Option "stereo" "integer"):

Now for some detailed visuals of ghost & stuff.

What is up with the massive amounts of money spent on everything but a closed loop cooler? Just weird.

March 14, 2015 | 05:26 PM - Posted by arbiter

expensive thing to do and reliability would also be a problem with the pump.

Quadro cards are typically clocked lower, so heat is rarely an issue.

March 14, 2015 | 08:32 PM - Posted by Anonymous (not verified)

See that Red Rocket-X card, maybe a little 4k+ work, and the Quadros may be also, for sure they can be used for rendering, or chroma key and other compositing work, and other acceleration tasks along side the Red Rocket-X. Deadmau5 probably owns 1 or 2 red cameras also, and a few other brands. Unce! Unce! Unce!...

This is VR/AR or coin crap; Thats it. Oh and also marketing shite. With in the next year or so processing power at the 14nm state will take storage to a metastate; Meaning data storage will be either needed or deemed not applicable. IMHO History is and always will be knowlage worth knowing and therfore preserving and so, I ask why not live it up while we all can and make our knowlage more than just metadata?
PS. Put your disposible data here: Where it will forever be no where else but there which is here somewhere near.
