I was thinking the same thing.

By the way, does windows 10 remind anyone of the plot of Human Revolution, or is it just me?

What I like about Asus graphics cards are, including there other products such as there motherboards, which I recommend highly and been using in my own builds since Pentium 3 which was my first build. To me Asus means quality and my piece of mind I now have a product that will last and will priced.

The first mainboard i purchased was Asus and since then i use only Asus mainboard and graphic cards. I love its logo that i use the ASUS sticker on all of my stuff even refrigirator or my motorcycle. I bought Asus dvd just for logo and look. I did not use single dvd yet with it.

Well that's a gorgeous card. As for why I love ASUS? well, they're the only parts manufacturer that hasn't screwed me over since I started building PC's a decade ago and their parts are always solid.

I've always enjoyed using Asus graphic cards, I've had nothing but good luck with them. I currently have a 970 in my system right now.

The new 20th anniversary edition appears to have some massive horsepower behind it. I have a feeling it would crush every game I play!

I've always been a fan of how quiet, yet compact the DirectCU series is. Some card from other AIB partners are huge, which also makes them power hungry. Asus has always found the happy medium in regards to performance/size/power requirements.

Good luck to all.

Do you think I would be able to add this graphics card to an external GPU unit and improve a laptop for gaming? Because I am looking to buy a new gaming laptop but the good ones are extremly expensive. I think it would be better to buy a cheaper laptop and just add a good GPU with the help of an external GPU device.

I love ASUS graphics cards because my first gaming PC had an ASUS and they opened for me the world of gaming at a higher level.

I'm currently building a new machine and, as a teacher, my budget is tight. This 980 would allow me to build a rig truly special that will be treasured for years to come.

She is powerful, beautiful, golden, and ASUS has always been reliable and pretty fair. I love it.

May 4, 2015 | 04:14 PM - Posted by YTech

Oh wow!

And this is the GPU specs I'd like to get for my new future build (when I get all the parts).

It's also very stylish! :D

To start, all the reviews about ASUS Rog products looks great and haven't seen anything near it from other brands. The aspect in particular is the available detailed custom flexibility to tune your hardware.

For the GTX 980, it looks like a sweet golden chocolate that would make my new PC build beautiful and delicious!
I have been eyeing many GTX 980 4GB to bundle with my new Z97 motherboard. But the current cost still hurts the gut (and the remaining parts that I need/want).

If I win, I'll share a photo of me with it :D

I've been running Asus GPUs for years and they've been the most reliable and well built cards I've ever had in my GPU arsenal. I've been drooling over the 980 anniversary edition since I first seen it. Not having much money means that I need to buy the right GPU the first time. It is also important that they outlive the PCs that I put then in. Asus does just that; a quality, affordable and well built product that outlasts other competitors. Great work Asus and hopefully I can add this sweet card to my build.

3 years into my Systems admin job, I continue to recommend ASUS solutions to my CITO. We have never had any issues with ASUS boards or graphics cards.

Recently built out a few new stations with x99's and several ASUS GTX 770 cards.

ASUS leads the pack in build quality, and software implementation (love the frequent and well documented BIOS updates).

May 4, 2015 | 04:53 PM - Posted by Coookiemunster

Love Asus v-cards, price - performance - stability, they have all the boxed checked on my list! Looks awesome too!

May 4, 2015 | 04:54 PM - Posted by Aaron Brown (not verified)

Asus is widely known as providing top notch products such as motherboards. Here, we have a video card that is not only silent, but runs very cool, uses less power and offer 10-15% more performance than a 780Ti. What's not to like. Plus, it looks great with the gold and black.

May 4, 2015 | 04:55 PM - Posted by Attica (not verified)

Power, speed, silence, style, and reliability.
Not necessarily in that order.

May 4, 2015 | 04:58 PM - Posted by wiregen

I've only used ASUS graphics cards and motherboards for my last couple of builds because of their exceptional build quality and awesome looks. Congratulations on 20 years!

May 4, 2015 | 05:00 PM - Posted by Bandages (not verified)

Personally, I like how Asus doesn't seem to have a particular allegiance to any one chip maker. It doesn't matter if you're looking for Intel/AMD or Nvidia/AMD, Asus will have something for you.

As for the 20th Anniversary card, I like Asus' attention to aesthetics. I'm not too fond of a lot of gold colors on stuff, but the way Asus has made the card, they've done a good job.

May 4, 2015 | 05:01 PM - Posted by Adam Sanders (not verified)

I absolutely LOVE Asus Graphics cards! They tend to be the best of the best, and are always a good value for what you get.

In fact, the 750Ti Strix is one of my go to suggestions for people looking to get into PC building on a budget. Used it in several builds for friends, and they all absolutely love it!

May 4, 2015 | 05:29 PM - Posted by hawl18

ASUS & PCPer,
As a young twenty year old and going to school for computer stuff, loving pc games is part of the job. Even though during my off time from studying I play popular video games such as world of warcraft. My current graphics card in my cheap college student desktop build just doesn't cut it. Currently I am running with an ASUS GTX 650 and have loved every hour with this card, however it is showing signs of age and good love. One of the biggest favorites of mine about ASUS graphics cards is their cooling ability within my case and their visual appeal and looks within my case and seeing them in others. Having a better card to play my favorite games would be awesome especially as a college student with "millions of dollars" *wink face*, go U of I. Oh and this 20th Anniversary edition is completely fits my schools colors really well.

I like the 0 RPM fans on the new Asus cards, silent running is great. Makes a wonderful compromise for a HTPC/gaming build for the living room TV.

Wow! That's an awesome card! Love the gold on black colorscheme, which would go great with the gold on the ASUS Mobo's (or at least some of them). I have been really looking forward to doing a 'gold' build one day, would be awesome!

Also appreciate the fact that this is a rare limited edition GTX 980 that most otherwise probably never would get their hands on. Rarety beeing one fact....cost another. On the same note i would commend both PCPer and Asus for allowing your world wide spread of fans to take part in the celebration.

Always loved the DCU II cooler, it looks cool and it is cool (papamm) and efficient and silent. The new Strix cooler design is lovely too and the ability to watch movies or just browsing without any noise makes them even better. Thanks for the chance, would be awesome to win the world's fastest 980. :)

Yep, I feel old now. Regardless, that is one slick looking GPU. ASUS has been my go to supplier for most of my PC parts for some time now. Never once have they failed me. Plus, they are very user friendly and easy to work with. Will most definitely continue to use ASUS components in the future.

I love how well built all Asus products are and generally well priced and packed with extra features. Their graphics card are well built and designed and are top of the line like the rest of their products. Asus is my go to brand.

With that color scheme that GTX980 will match perfectly with quite a few of the Asus Z/H97 motherboards.

I absolutely ADORE the idea of having this GPU, as it would allow me to follow my dream of livestreaming. I really love the idea of doing that, even just as a hobby, but I cannot. watching others livestream always leaves that burning desire in me to also do such a beatiful thing, yet I miss the graphical power, which this ASUS beast surely would provide. Let's see if dreams can come true, shall we ? The best of luck to everyone !
