B.J. Blazkowicz is back ... in time?  There was apparently a recent reboot of the venerable Wolfenstein series far more popular than the mediocre 2009 reboot which was set in a modern times, albeit a parallel history in which the Nazi's won.  The Old Blood was just announced, set presumably in the same timeline as The New Order, set in 1946 and is an assault by our hero on Castle Wolfenstein to try to prevent the Nazis from winning the war.  If it is indeed a prequel then we already know the ending, with B.J. suffering a massive head wound and going into a coma; perhaps while bending over to pick up the Spear of Destiny?  Check out the trailer at Rock, Paper, SHOTGUN.

"Bethesda have just announced a Wolfenstein: The New Order stand-alone prequel, which is wonderful news. Going by the subtitle The Old Blood, it’s set in 1946 as the Nazis are on the brink of winning World War II."

The last one was SOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOD...... at the start. Game play was obviously the BOMB but the story, soooooooo good, sooooooo inventive, sooooooo smooth, then we met the resistance, sorta belivable, THEN we close down a concentration camp filled with high-teck- Mech-guards...... with a knife. Then a Jew with a horrible accent (that sounds like a funny uncle Hershel that I do IN CLOSED FAMILY SITUATIONS, it's our shit to joke about, not theirs!) tells us about ancient Jew magic/technology and then there is space and imposible and blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

I've never been, and I dont say this lightly, but I've never been so excited by the start of a game and so disappointed with the end EVER!!!!!!!!

It could be a non-prequel/paradox thing, where BJ, using Da’ad Yichud (sigh) time travel Tech to end the war the real historical way instead of the game way, but still let 12 million die in the holocaust and another 12 million in the "Stalinist Revolution"
