Ditch the 1333Mhz RAM I've got and upgrade to 2133! Fancy lights are obviously the feature that puts them over the top of what I've got access to now.

The key to a modern tabbed web browswer is memory. Sandboxing, plugins and excessive tabs can take up many gigabytes of RAM

What is the point of a tabbed browser and heavily multi threaded CPU if you do not use its tabs? 4 and 8GB can accomodate many tabs but I have never made it past ~700 tabs so far !

A Fast kit of 16GB would likely enable me to acheive my goal of reaching a thousand tabs and of not having to close any tabs to save memory or desktop space.

It would be used as the basis of a brand new system I intend to build. It would be incredible to build a new system with 16 GB of extremely fast 2133 Mhz memory to power my system for the next couple of years. It would be my central PC of my digital life. Any gaming, work, or personal stuff that I throw all of 21st century life.

October 4, 2012 | 10:46 PM - Posted by Koreeth (not verified)

What he said.

I am currently using 2 web browsers with about 60 tabs open, and 2 minecraft servers running in the background leaving me with 12% of my 8GB left for whatever else I want to do. WooHoo!

A new build for my puter would be nice right about now.

Nice. Just in time to upgrade my 4GB kit. I can't even compile LLVM with 4GB RAM and have to work on a remote server... With 16GB, I should be able to ramfs the entire source dir and compile everything in minutes.

I would use it in a future Z77 build. Have the motherboard and a tower I can use. Just need a CPU and few other things.

Can you really have too much memory? I think not!
I would use this to create a RAM drive and still have 8 GB for system RAM.

October 4, 2012 | 11:02 PM - Posted by Charles (not verified)

I would use this 16GB Dominator RAM to build my next machine. I have 16 GB 1333 now. Faster is better.

October 4, 2012 | 11:06 PM - Posted by PapaDragon

I plan on using the 16GB Dominator Platinum Memory to complete a Z77 Video Editing Rig . Having those great timings and speeds at 2133 will give me a great performance boost and better efficiency in my work flow as well as benefit from the mass amount of 16 Gigs to work with big HD video files.

I have a Youtube channel with more 2000 Subs that I want to get back in to making content for and grow!

Thank You for the Opportunity Ryan, PC Perspective and Corsair!

I'd build a brand new system around this memory. However there was no mention if this is for US/Canada only? As I live in Poland, I doubt I'd classify.

Still Good luck to you all

October 5, 2012 | 04:38 AM - Posted by timmyisme22

I'd use it as my basis for an upgrade of my PC. I'd get a new motherboard that can properly utilize the ram at it's full capability, buy a spanking new CPU along with the motherboard, and replace them into my current case. I'd then upgrade my brothers PC (in College and married, he's using my old PC) and use his as a HTPC/Home Server.

With this RAM, I would be one step closer to finishing my new computer. I've been on the same computer since 2005, and for several months I have been assembling the parts for a new one that should last me just as long or longer. This RAM is exactly the type of long-term component I need.

October 5, 2012 | 11:10 AM - Posted by razor512

I will use it to maintain my current CPU overclock (without having to lower the memory multiplier)

The 16GB of memory will mean that I can finally work on longer video files in davinci resolve and maybe even run adobe aftereffects at the same time, and finally (I am a broke college student who needs more RAM :) )

While extra memory will not help too much with gaming, I also use my current system for gaming and faster RAM cant hurt :)

More memory is always useful when I'm derping around in Blender3D, or I could also get bored and install a game on a ram drive. Winning a new set of memory would also allow me to use trickle down computernomics and give my old memory to a family member.

I've bought a I7-3770K and motherboard at MicroCenter. Currently have everything for my build except a case and memory. So this memory would come in really handy.

I would use the Corsair 16GB Dominator Platinum 2133Mhz kit to complement my X79 setup, and be able to OC my CPU higher with the much higher frequency head room ^.^

Already "liked" both pages a long time ago, thanks to Corsair and PCPer for putting this together.

GoodLuck to all.

I'd use the Corsair 2133 to upgrade my current 1600, so I won't get harassed about having only the 1600 in my system!

Corsair have been one of the top brands in making quality performance hardware from power supplies, cooling solutions and ram modules. I myself use corsair's vengeance rams, corsair's H50 and one of the TX enthusiast power supplies. Corsair Dominator Platinum rams are said to be one of the best overclocking ram modules today, would love to get an upgrade and max out my overclock if given a chance. :)

I would love to use the Corsair Dominator Platinum in my new computer build. I just purchased the MSI Z77 MPOWER Big Bang motherboard and I would love to add the Corsair memory to my long list of needed parts for an outstanding gaming rig.
