Stare deeply at the PCB picture, which purports to be of a GTX 1180. The layout implies many things, such as the amount of GDDR we are likely to see; with 16GB seeming more likely than 8GB. The golden SLI fingers have a different design from previous generations, which could signal the arrival of NVLink for consumers, a great feature for those who can buy their GPUs in pairs. The Inquirer has some more prognostications as well as links to even more leaked pictures.
"It's also visible from the leaked pictures that this model has different Scalable Link Interface (SLI) fingers than the firm's previous GPU cards. This could be a sign of Nvidia implementing NVLink for gaming GPUs, and because the cut out for the GPU is rather small, it could be a GV104 core chip."

what some speculate is that the ports, specifically the bottom one is a type C for VirtualLink for VR.
Much as I’d REALLY like to
Much as I’d REALLY like to see VirtualLink (or even just regular Type C DP Alternate Mode) turn up on a GPU, there are not enough pads there to populate a Type C port. The onbly way I could see that working is to add a ‘riser’ PCB that borrows both the DP++ header ports (also visible for the lower port) plus the extra pins in order to mount a Type C port to the riser.
On the other hand, it looks like every port location can be populated with DP++, so HDMI can finally be dumped as a direct connection – still available with a passive DP++ adapter – and we no longer need to waste a port location on something that should only be present as an AV interconnect (even though it gets abused for desktop monitors. Stop doing that).

Are you serious? It’s 8GB or 16GB.

Fyi hdr gsync monitors fell to $1799 microcenter from $1999. While still expensive hopefully will keep on falling. Previous ips ultrawides at $999 and even lower.
