Use your modding powers for good

Subject: General Tech | June 19, 2006 - 12:17 PM |

ExtremeTech is hosting a modding contest with weekly prizes as well a very impressive grand prize.  The rules are very simple, although the contest is only open to US residents.

"This year, ExtremeTech is proud to announce its third annual case mod contest. We listened to our

readers, and this year, there are no limits. Last year you may recall that we had a "science fiction"

theme for the contest. That resulted in a limited number of submissions, and a lot of mail from

readers suggesting that restricting the case mod to a narrow theme wasn't a good idea.

We agree. This year's case mod contest is wide open. The only thing we ask is that the resulting

design actually be a working personal computer, and that you started the case mod project in the last

year. So start up your Dremels, put on your goggles, and have at it. "
