Everybody go over to [H]ardOCP and read that story, it's similar to what happened years ago with illegal CPU market cornering practices but this time sround it's about the Big GPU Monopoly rather than the Big CPU Monopoly!

A bit technical, but rather say 6.5 percentage points. It went up by 23.9%. This can cause confusion. 6.5% sounds like just a little, but 23.9% is substantial.

Well it ain't HL3 but Lord Gaben is cooken up some game action again. I for one would like to petition the Lord Gaben with prayer that he would at least consider creating a Steam_Machine_2 that makes use of AMD's Raven Ridge Desktop APUs. A Steam_Machine_2 with and option to install along side the RR's integrated APUs Graphics some Discrete AMD Vega based GPU variant also. Vulkan 1.1 now has support for at least Homogenious Multi Integrated GPU with Discrete GPU dual usage, If the GPUs/Graphics are of the same make/micro-arch(GCN I'd think).

So Maybe a Steam_Machine_2 with that Raven Ridge Ryzen 5 2400G in a small form factor box that has a least one PCIe x16 slot for some discrete Nano_Vega sort of low profile GPU card and an actual Steam OS running the latest Vulkan 1.1 API and a software/driver/API ecosyetem that is a little more mature than what was available for Linux OS distro(Steam OS) with the first Steam_Machines.
When I was back there in seminary school

There was a person there

Who put forth the proposition

That you can petition the Lord with prayer

Petition the lord with prayer

Petition the lord with prayer

You cannot petition the lord with prayer!
When all else fails

We can whip the horse's eyes

And make them sleep

And cry

[Rave on oh Lizard King and get us a new Steam_Machine]

And this lovely news for maybe some relief on DRAM pricing pressures via reduced smartphone demand(1).

"A smartphone recession is coming and animated poo emojis can't stop it

Is the industry out of ideas?"

What was the supplier of the (relatively) cheap SSD that Allyn mentioned?
