AMD doesn't do anything with bug reports. I reported 27 bugs with the release of the 7970 (including the problems with microstutter) and they have never updated the status on any of those bugs. They certainly didn't fix any of the bugs I had.

AMD just doesn't seem to do anything with bug or support tickets, or at least they didn't. The list of the bugs they got was from an effort earlier this year in forums all over the place (you had a similar drive in your forums from AMD). It spent 6 months preparing all these fixes for this particular release from the forums because its own bug tracking system was full of stuff they never looked at.

So there is a serious criticism to aim at AMD for this entire release, and the very reason it exists at all is a bit of a concern with how AMD handles bugs. It needs to handle them a lot better.

I have had a similar problem with Nvidia with a single bug for the 680. They never updated the status either and never fixed it.
