Hi,
I'm running a P370SM3 and it rocks SLI 780m, 120Hz 1080p panel, 16G Ram, 120G EVO SSD, i7 4800QM. It's better than lugging around a desktop and cost 3.6K so in three years it's still Ok and payed it's self off for me.

The processor has Virtual extensions and I don't have the money for a 300K sports car nor do I have the desire to own one. I can not carry the desktop from my car to my bedroom while using it Patrick or from home to LAN party often. With the notebook I can and it has DP so now I'm just like you, waiting for the Asus or another 1440p 120Hz DP Display.
My laptop has an 8 cell battery and lasts about 3 hours with SLI off and power saving options on but I have a tablet I can use for stuff not too demanding (ipad air) and that lasts ages but not 14 hours Ryan although not far off it.

I dont't love much but I Love the PCPER podcast and thanks to Patrick and Ryan on Twit.tv for the TWICH podcast love that too.
