EA showed what they described as in game footage of the new Star Wars: Battlefront which was gorgeous and seems to capture the feel of that universe quite well. Tthe more realistic of us worry that this might be in game footage in the same sense as Ubisoft's Watch_Dogs footage from last year and most of us are just hoping EA doesn't find a way to screw this game up more than they already have. From the video below we can see that first and third person views are supported, flying vehicles have been included and jetpacks will be available. We also learned that Luke can apparently time travel from the future into the past. It is hard not to be excited about this release, one can only hope it does not all end in tears.
HEXUS also has a few more EA videos on their page right here.
"EA revealed new video trailers, footage and information about all its hottest gaming titles at the E3 show yesterday. The one and a half hour long presentation, available in full here, included information about Star Wars: Battlefront, Mass Effect Andromeda, Mirror's Edge Catalyst, the Need 4 Speed reboot, a plethora of sports title updates (plus an on-stage interview with Pele) and more."

The FrostBite engine has me
The FrostBite engine has me really nervous about this game. Many of these games start from Battlefield base code and are essentially mods. Frostbite is extremely buggy as evident from previous Battlefield launches and some of the bugs actually travel cross franchise due to this.
Will wait and see.
i wonder if Ryan will try it

Looks like a huge battlefield
Looks like a huge battlefield mod,so disappointing.
I’m still disappointed in the
I’m still disappointed in the player cap of 20 people for each side (total of 40 in one server). Among other features that were in the previous Battlefront that they “can’t” seem to achieve.
This should be called Star Wars Small Skirmishes instead of Star Wars Battlefront 🙁
Because consoles can’t handle
Because consoles can’t handle more….their basically low end APU pc parts. Under powered from the get go. Can’t even handle 1080p which is already fucking ancient. Non of my devices have a 1080p dispaly, Smartphone 1440p, pc monitor 1440p, tv 4K, tablet 1440p….
This game will give you super small maps like in this trailer, nothing compared to BF Conquest Large maps.
Also EA is gonna be pushing a shit ton of DLC down those poor console peasants throats, not to mention micro-transactions lol
Yep. I mean it looks awesome,
Yep. I mean it looks awesome, can’t take that away from them, but every time I see it I just think of what it could have been like. Like the flying footage looks crazy, but then you look at it and realize they have to keep turning around over and over again because the map is so small and they move so fast.
Consolination, that’s whats
Consolination, that’s whats happening. I pass on this, which is a shame. It could of been a very good PC Game if it wasn’t EA publishing it.
Wait….. Star Wars
Wait….. Star Wars Battlefield? Don’t you mean Battlefront?
Someone finally noticed! 🙂
