Audio quality, specifically headphone quality, is a very subjective measure and hard to review in such a way as to pin down the exact ability of a headset to provide sound that you will enjoy.  What for some is barely audible with no bass presence may well be deafening and overly strong on the low end for another set of ears.  So while Steve did just finish a review of the Corsair HS1 USB Gaming Headset it might be best to offer a second opinion.  To that end is a link to Think Computers, who have also just finished a review of these headsets.

Not to ruin the ending, but these headsets received high marks from both reviews.

“With so many headsets to choose from on the market these days, manufacturers have been trying to create a product that sets them apart from the mainstream. Corsair has designed the HS1 to simulate the couch listening experience so the music is not “in your head” but rather surrounding you like your typical home stereo setup would. The design is composed of larger than average drivers, a very creative and comfortable design, and an attention to sound detail that every audiophile and gamer will be in awe of. Their hardware solution is crisp and clean in its audio reproduction and when coupl ed with their software, gives unmatched control of audio features that are sure to make the experience adjustable to each individuals liking.”
