Alienware X51 SFF with GTX 645 and Ubuntu @ $600

Today's deal is not something you see every day, a WiFi enabled console sized Alienware PC running Ubuntu.  At that $600 price you get a Core i3-3220 @ 3.3GHz, 6GB RAM, 1TB HDD, DVD burner, a 1GB GTX 645, and pre-installed UBUNTU Linux 12.04.  It also comes with a one year warranty which could come in handy if you are unfamiliar with Linux.  This might not be the Linux powered Steambox of rumour, but it will certainly function as one and will provide more fun than speculating on when or if that device will ever be released.

hey is it me or does anyone notice that linux users seem not to want power under the hood, for an alienware system this is pretty tame.

so sure i know linux can run on a kumquat - but why is not at least an i5 and a real alienware set up.

At $600, that's a tad expensive for a Linux box.

Alienware is tarnishing it's name by building systems on anything less than GTX 650 (preferably GTX 660).

Alienware should keep a minimum standard of maintaining a minimum of 30fps rock solid at 1920x10 for the top 3 graphic intensive games as their benchmark.

Gtx 645? Laughable at best.

Personally, I think most people who visit tech sites look down at Alienware since it was bought out (by Dell I think?). It's only a shell of its former glory that now builds subpar boxes to the masses at highly over inflated prices.
