Could it be an actual thin bezeled LCD?!?

To start off with the bad news, it is a TN panel, but sacrifices are acceptable for a 9mm bezel!  The ASUS VN247H does indeed have a very thin bezel and a screen without dead space, this is truly like the monitors we were promised ages ago when multi-screen gaming first became possible.  The 24" 1920 x 1080 monitor will set you back about $190 each, which is really not a bad price for a niche product and makes buying several a little more affordable.  Kitguru had a chance to try out this monitor with its rear mounted controls, check it out.

"Today we are looking at the latest VN247H from ASUS. This monitor will stand out in the crowd due to the super narrow bezel which measures less than 1 centimeter. The VN247H is VESA wall mount compatible and has a scratch proof rear panel for ultimate durability. Should this be next on your shortlist in 2013?"

Now, we will stick to our BenQ's.

9mm = super thin?

Not in this century. It's going to be barely noticeable when most peoples bezels sit around 14mm. Another failed attempt at marketing. Here's some advice Asus: Stop making entirely unremarkable panels and you won't have to resort to pumping up minor features as selling points.

Wow I bet you feel bad Jeremy, didn't you just buy 3 monitors for tri-display?

If they'd been IPS monitors I would.  Mine are about twice that thickness and while it can be noticeable your brain starts to edit it out once you've been playing a while.

Am I the only one who actually really likes thick bezel around their monitors?

It's not ideal for a multi-monitor setup.

For single display I'm with you, doesn't bother me at all.

The current trend of glossy plastic rather than a flat black is what drives me nuts.

I got me 3 of these to replace 1 BenQ monitor. I do alot of gaming. Really happy with them great monitors, and no issues at all with the im Nvidia Surround, no viewing angle problems or anything. Great color and contrast out of the box, just fine tuned them a bit. And the narrow bezel is great
