"AMD has heard the feedback from reviewers and PC users everywhere: the near-silent, capable AMD Wraith Cooler is a resounding success. The question they keep asking is, 'When will the Wraith Cooler be available on more AMD Processors?'
We’re pleased to announce that the wait is over. The high-performance AMD FX 8350 and AMD FX 6350 processors now include a true premium thermal solution in the AMD Wraith Cooler, and each continues to deliver the most cores andthe highest clock rates in its class."
The lineup featuring AMD's most powerful air solution now includes the following products:
- AMD FX 8370
- AMD FX 8350
- AMD FX 6350
- AMD A10-7890K
The Wraith cooler initially made its debut with the FX-8370 CPU, and was added to the new A10-7890K APU with the FM2+ refresh last month.

AMD`s BIG innovation that more than 10 people will actually use since the r9 290 is a new cpu cooler….
Can you feel the innovation?

FYI, the Athlon 880K also comes with the Wraith cooler – it just doesn’t have the illuminated shroud.
I think the 7870K’s have a similar setup though I’m not absolutely certain.

The 880K and 7870K come with what AMD calls their "Near-silent 125W AMD Thermal Solution", which does not have the shroud. I'm not sure if it's the same fan or heatsink design. I'd have to see them in person and compare.
(Just going by AMD's official information on the subject.)
Nice marketing move here by
Nice marketing move here by AMD. Renders all existing stock with the old fan obsolete, forcing retailers to discount those, clear their inventory, and rebuy the new version.
From a consumer side, makes the value equation even better for AMD if you don’t have to budget for an aftermarket fan.
Nice to see a better option
Nice to see a better option form AMD here, but is it to little to late??
