Chaintech was on hand at the show and had many products on display. Most notable were their AMD64 solutions.

We have been expecting the Zenith K8 motherboard since February of this year, and now it is finally ready and shipping. You can see that Chaintech has kept the bundled extras with the motherboard very interesting including a riser card for complete use of the VIA Envy 24-bit audio chipset that it uses. This should be one of the better Athlon 64 motherboards looking at the features side of things.

Chaintech will also be one of the first to offer a version of NVIDIA’s Personal Cinema platform in a 5600 package. They did say that they were looking at the possibility of ATI graphics cards, and we have heard that from nearly all of the video card OEMs.
DFI

DFI had a fair sized area for themselves as well as having a gaming platform up with four network PCs for attendees to play games on during a break from the show.

DFI was showing a motherboard for the Athlon 64 from three of the four chipset manufacturers that are making them, but I was told the focus was going to be on the VIA K8T800 solution. They are undecided as of speaking with them if they will be using the nForce3 or K8T800 chipset on their LanParty branded motherboard for the K8.

Among other vendors, DFI was showing off a new overclocking feature that allows the user to have a few profiles in the bios that they can easily switch between. This would allow a user to have settings for different operating systems or modes, say one for gaming and one for office use.
