Today we are going to re-broadcast and talk over the Apple keynote, giving you some perspective on the new announcements from a more technical standpoint. We will look into the new CPU and GPU architectures as much as Apple will allow us, and we have a diverse crowd of Apple and Android users to discuss and dissect the new features that the iPhones, Apple TV, Apple Watches, etc. might provide.
We will have the live chat open to take questions and comments as we go! (You can find the live chat over on our PCPer Live! page right here.)
Join us at 12:45pm ET / 9:45am PT!

Nvidia will not give Apple a
Nvidia will not give Apple a low enough price on GPUs, and you know that Apple likes their markup and JHH over at Nvidia wants money, just like Apple does!
So what about Apple’s In-House GPUs for the A11’s graphics, Imagination Technologies is so boned, but that’s what happens when you depend too much on Apple.
Nvidia’s GPUs since Maxwell are mobile first designs but AMD’s GPU are compute heavy so AMD will do fine with their Radeon Pro WX/Radeon Instinct SKUs AMD’s Project 47 uses loads of Epyc CPUs and even more Vega 10(Radeon Instinct SKUs).
Someone should ask Raja if they will be spinnig up a Vega micro-arch based design with even more compute stripped out as Vega 56 is getting close to the Nvidia SKUs in power usage and AMD just needs to disable more SPs and keep the ROP’s(Vega 56 has the same number of ROP’s as the GTX 1080 at 64 ROP’s) and TMUs(Vega 56 has plenty more texture fill rate 329.5 GTexel/s when compared to the GTX1080 277.3 GTexel/s GTexel/s).
