Morry just wrapped up a review of the ASUS Strix Z270E Gaming while Hardware Canucks have looked at a different motherboard, the ASRock X370 Taichi. To some, the names might seem similar but they are very different motherboards, the Z270 is for Intel LGA1151 while the X370 is a brand new AMD AM4 board. If you are just getting into building computers, make very sure you know what you are picking up!
ASRock have chosen a unique pattern to decorate the X370 Taichi and that is before you light up the RGB LEDs on the board. This is the first AM4 board Hardware Canucks have seen and it introduces a new look to the UEFI as well as some physical changes to the layout compared to the previous generation of AMD motherboards. Take look for yourself at one of the first reviews of an AM4 board from ASRock.
"AMD's Ryzen processors may have found the ultimate motherboard with ASRock's X370 Taichi. From overclocking to stock performance and features, this board seems to have it all!"

I waited for 2 weeks for newegg to get the x370 Taichi in. No luck. Can’t get it anywhere in the US it seams.
Ended up with the asrock AB350. My only gripe is realtech gigabyte (will use an intel pci-e card i have for that) and no usb 3.1 gen 2.
I was considering either gigabyte or asus as alternatives but their slow bios releases nixed that idea.
Asrock is really doing good with Ryzen, they’re on top of the bios drivers.
Note: The last 6 or 7 computers i’ve built i’ve gone with Asus. We’ll see if asrock wins me over.

Post the humour alongside the sad calls for attention, not after. Easier to delete than edit.
No delete it the post it
No delete it the post it replied to is gone so delete the whole thread. Usually it’s that reall nasty poster that the emotocons post is replying to, should delete it too. You are doing a good job getting the really nasty post out of here tonight!
Also I just realized that
Also I just realized that after I was already in the process of posting you had already deleted the post that i was replying to. And your Drupal API based posting system does not/may not have proper atomic operations so your deleating ninja’d my humor. So maybe just have a post deleted place keeper so any of the replys below doe not get placed in an improper sub-thread.
P.S. It may not be totally Drupal fault if the person/persons doing the web development do not properly make use of any Atomics features in the API to catch any posting Racinng conditions/other coherency updating.
When one is replying on you system the only post that is visable is the one being replied to. so if that post is somehow deleted that action needs to propigate down the call stack even if someone is in the process of posting a reply!
P.S. That happened on some
P.S. That happened on some other pages and not this one where you edited the offending reply. But that humor acts as a visual flag for that one troll’s nasty posts!
How difficult is it to number the posts as they come in so replies can be directed by/at the post by its number?
Well, more effort that we are
Well, more effort that we are willing to put in at the moment as we are working on other solutions.
The way Drupal does this, ya, if I am hammering away at the delete button as I was earlier this morning you won't know until you hit submit, but that is not going to happen all that often.
Yes that takes a lot of
Yes that takes a lot of effort especially for large APIs/large frameworks for CMS/other systems and programs/scripts that make use of them. And logic errors are already hard enough in the first place to fix for even simple programming and maddening to suss out under large API/Frameworks. And any event driven code is doubly so with the pull ones hair out types of phase of the moon errors that can sometimes exist forever because they are so hard to find and fix even with the debuggers’ tools that are available.
If that’s what you think,

^this. This is what I’m waiting for.
My next build will be ITX. It’s already decided. The only question is whether I’ll build a Ryzen ITX system, or build a Ryzen ATX system and transfer my current i5-4690k-based system into an ITX board and case.
(I’m hoping not the latter, because decent z97 ITX boards are hard to find and stupidly expensive – and unless someone comes out with an alternative in the next 6-to-9-months, I’ll probably already be gouging myself to death sourcing a Corsair 380t.)
Having gone through a few
Having gone through a few Ryzen boards already, this one is easily my favorite.

This means it’s time for a AM4 motherboard roundup. So users can see what motherboards may be best for overclocking and what motherboards have the most features enabled in the UEFI. Also it’s good to even go into what memory offerings are best(Those that use the Samsung “B” dies are great according to some). Some of those motherboards have/have had some teething problems and such while others have had little to no problems. At least do a AM4 motherboard roundup so folks can rope them some prime motherboard beef that is not pure rat meat.

I am just waiting a bit. A lot of motherboard models are still sold out. I also don’t want board revision 1.0. I also want to make sure that I get a board with an up to date BIOS.
