Phanteks unveiled the massive yet stylish Enthoo Elite this week at a squarely premium price point of $899. Available in black and grey, the Enthoo Elite has a net weight of 72 pounds and measures 29.5” x 10.5” x 24.2” (HxWxD). The case features a steel frame with 4mm sand blasted aluminum panels and a large 4mm thick tempered glass side window along with rounded edges and a curved bottom that shows off the RGB ambient lighting along the right side of the front panel and bottom of the case.
Front IO is hidden behind a panel on the front of the case and includes:
- 4 x USB 3.0
- 1 x USB 3.1 Type-C
- 1 x HDMI
- 2 x Headphone
- 2 x Microphone
- Power/Reset
- RGB LED control wheel.
- The lights can be controlled by RGB LED motherboards or Phantek’s own controller.
The case has support for E-ATX motherboards, six 2.5” drive mounts (4 brackets included), 13 3.5” mounts (6 included brackets), an optional 5.25” bay, a hidden PSU compartment, and behind the motherboard tray space (35mm wide) for cable management along with a 94mm wide compartment for storing cable slack and unused cables.
Phanteks includes metal panels that can be placed to hide cabling around the motherboard tray as well as cover up the GPU area. Graphics cards and other expansion cards can even be installed vertically (four slots, one included riser cable) with the included bracket.
Cooling support amounts to whatever your imagination wants really, with support for up to five 480mm radiators along with a 140mm rear radiator. Further, there is a reservoir mount to the right of the motherboard area and two pump mounts in the bottom compartment in front of the power supply area.
For air cooling, Phanteks includes five of its “premium” 140mm fans (they don’t list exact models) and users can add a ton more if they so desire. Phanteks does include two of its PWM hubs which allow users to control multiple fans from a single PWM fan motherboard header though if you max out the number of fans you should probably look into a dedicated fan controller so that you can control the fan speeds individually or in smaller groups (the hubs run all the fans at the same speed though that speed is variable depending on the PWM signal it gets from the motherboard).
There are reportedly several modular parts that users can change up to meet their build needs such as removable panels to reduce noise, a replaceable side panel, a side radiator mount, removable 5.25” bay, allegedly dust proof intakes, and other odds and ends.
If you choose to go with the vertical expansion card mount, you are limited to 4 slots, but if you go with the traditional horizontal mounting, the case supports 10 PCI slots. CPU coolers can be up to 210mm tall and graphics cards are effectively not limited (Phanteks only says “full size GPU support” but with the case being 24.2” deep, you can pretty much use any GPU released today.)
The Phanteks Enthoo Elite will be up for pre-order soon and will start shipping within the next month or two for a very much premium $899 price tag. The the price is steep, but the case certainly looks the part and enthusiasts will definitely be able to create some crazy water cooled builds in this monster!
If you are interested in the case, PC World managed to snag several pictures of it at CES with systems built inside of it.

I love Phanteks, but now
I love Phanteks, but now they’ve gone too far! This case is certainly sweet, and will accommodate anyone’s monster dream system, but I see nothing that justifies $900. Also, it looks way too much like their original case, the Enthoo Primo. For that kind of cash I”d expect much more thought put into the exterior design, not just an enlarged and optimized copy of a 3 year old design.
I do applaud their effort in providing this a case to those few who have the means to build such a system, and this case should be the new king of the “super tower” class, since it’s 600 cubic inches larger than the ousted Corsair 900D. But the 900D was (and still is) about $350…
If I had 900 dollars for a
If I had 900 dollars for a case I would get a custom one made from wood and tempered glass.
Ummm… so what is it about
Ummm… so what is it about this case which warrants a $900 price tag?
It looks cheap… doesn’t have many features… it’s just an empty metal/plastic shell.
My CoolerMaster Cosmos II cost less and is made of a FAR better build quality.
That looks like price gouging to me.
Use cases for front HDMI?
Use cases for front HDMI?
Allegedly for a VR headset
Allegedly for a VR headset heh
Love it but…..
Price is
Love it but…..
Price is over the top and for case and I still want one or two 5 1/4 bays on the front of case.
Some of us use led displays on temps/fan controllers and yes even have blu ray burners(m disc) for back ups.
Looks wise they have nailed it in comparison to Case Labs and I would consider using it for next build despite the price, Just those lack of front bays for a case this big is a turn off, Shouldn’t have to use an external drive and clutter desk even more.
So close Phanteks, So close!
Revision 2 maybe?
Well, the 5.25″ drive bay can
Well, the 5.25″ drive bay can be mounted right in the top front corner, so you’d just have to open the door. Front cover doors ain’t that different IMHO.
Where is edit button, That
Where is edit button, That first sentence I wrote was atrocious! 😉
lol, we figured out in
lol, we figured out in another thread that only registered users can go back and edit comments. Anonymous is what it is unless you can get a mod to edit it for you. (Someone asked about it awhile back, I did not realize anon did not have edit but it makes sense since there's no way to verify though some sites do have like a 10 minute window where anonymous comments can edit iirc).
The anon account shouldn’t
The anon account shouldn’t exist to begin with. I don’t know exactly what Ryan’s reasoning is for keeping it, my best guess is because it helps promote return traffic to the site. But after the many, many offensive and ugliness filled comments left by some who abuse the anon account, I really question why it is kept around.
Everytime I open a PcPer article and see that ugliness posted there and the frequency that I see it, honestly it makes this site look un -professional, amateurish if you will.
Suggestions:
1. Have some mods other than PcPer staff who have access to only police the article comment sections. That is if the need to keep the anon account is really that dire. and I say “… only police..” since you don’t want mods having access to the articles themselves.
2. Get rid of Anon accounts. Instantly you will have a huge reduction in the amount of offensiveness, ugliness, and the random spam bots posts. And by forcing everyoen to register, it makes it a whole lot less convenient for someone to post. Does the hatred filled d-bag really want to go through and register for a new account everytime he posts something offensive and gets his account banned?
I know PcPer does good work, for the most part, I enjoy getting tech news from here and I’d like to see the site keep on going.
That is fair enough to be
That is fair enough to be honest, I thought I was registered.
So many passwords on all my news sites on multiple computers/tablets etc, Lost track and somehow I missed this one and wasn’t registered.
Now registered as Shane and ad blocker is turned off!
I have been posting comments here for a while and never abuse the privilege or others.
Just needed an edit button, Live on the other side of the globe(Australia) and usually either just getting out of bed reading news before work, or it’s very late and just going to bed. Sometimes the brain isn’t all there. 😉
P.S. Another thing back on topic and save me making another post, Not a fan of power buttons on top of cases. Especially large cases designed as a show piece.
They will not be under a desk where it makes sense to have ports and buttons on top, They will be on a desk to show it off. Problem is it is hard to plug into ports or turn on when you are sat down.
It’s a minor gripe but just as annoying as the old days of having to reach behind the pc to plug in a usb cable.
Case Labs has that part right, Large cases with power/reset on front along with all the ports/bays for easy access.
Enough of me ranting, Apologies for a long post.
900 dollars? sadly if i would
900 dollars? sadly if i would trully express my opinion this comment wouldn’t go through. i am so disgusted..
i already thing a case shouldn’t cost more than 50 dollars, and there are even cheap 30 dollars that include a PSU that does the job…
are they crazy? i mean, this costs more than my car
with 900 dollars i can have a really good pc built, leave it in a corner and play tons of games… i can get a plank, make some holes and there ya go, a base to put my motherboard.
i was searching for cases, and looking at the price of this case i am just going to ignore anything by phanteks.
in material they probably spent like 20 dollars or less to build each case, a srapyard would give me like 1-5 bucks for it
i know design is expensive, but that is a cost that is distributed..
unless they created like just a small ammount of 1000 units, i feel they just make up the price and laern how many dumb people would buy it..
yes, you can fit plenty of stuff on it, there is load of room, there is costumization. but in the end, it’s 900 dollars for some recycled cans of soda melted
having this at this price, i am just ignoring this brand because i know that they are just making up prices as they wish…
this case is way too
this case is way too expensive. im sorry but its just way to expensive. the entire computer im building is only like 400. without a case. i may just go with a case that has tempered glass, leds already in it, two fans, and is ready to go…. FOR 79 DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would consider this case if you drop the price to maybe 100. other than that, no way. my second car was 1200. i am not about to buy a computer that 100 more dollars than that.
Enthoo Elite, It’s too heavy.
after assembling the case, we don’t want to move it forever?
