With Computex behind us it is time to catch up on all the reviews which were launched during the show, including [H]ard|OCP's review of the GTX 1070 Founders Edition. Their testing was done using an NVIDIA provided driver, GeForce 368.19 the same one which Ryan used in his review. They did not have a chance to delve into overclocking or utilizing the new power settings. From their testing they concluded the GTX 1070 is a great upgrade for those using a vanilla GTX 980 or R9 390X, while the card performs faster than a R9 Fury X or GTX 980 Ti the jump is not quite enough to recommend dumping it for anything less than a GTX1080.

I would really prefer it if PCPer would not use HARDOCP for references to some of their articles.
HARDOCP has a very flimsy way of testing cards that many people disagree with or just find very confusing – not to mention their beef with AMD as a whole (with one of their latest articles saying something about a Raja-inspired rebellion inside AMD? You seriously can’t make this shit up)
There are so many other good, honest technology review sites that could be used as a reference for an article..

When Ryan asked Tom Petersen about async he stayed quiet I guess we know now. Even Josh Walrath is lurking there so you know PCPerspective is aware yet I doubt they will be reporting on such a thing.
Like the 0 articles about GTX 980 Ti having async compute which Nvidia still has on its website.

If your going to ask for peoples money have dignity and be balance. Call out everyone for their mistakes don’t cower in a corner because someone wont show up on your stream is you say something honest.
Review sites are more of a marketing arm then anything now. Very few have the guts to look out for the consumer instead they focus on showing the reviewed product in the best possible light and that’s not their job but they are more than willing to do it if it results in clicks.

Not the best possible light , but as you said – not to mentioned or just to skim over some bad stuff briefly.
My point of view is that I read at least 3-4 reviews of particular brand and card in order to get an educated decision.
And this is a choice that people have to make for themselves.
I advice a friend not to buy 1080 before we have the full picture of what 1070 will be as well as AIB 1080 reviews , did he listen ? No he bought it for 950 USD ( convertet from 1630 BGN ). just because he wanted the FASTEST card this time .
But the wallet is his and he jumps like a stupid fanboy and he will be the one to have to live with it ( waiting to see the price of MSI 1070 and if they will have Armour variant ).
Just to mention MSI 1080 Armour is priced at one of the shops at 1386.99 BGN – witch translate at 807 USD.
Let’s see when the availability normalize when we will land with the prices.
