R9-Nano Controversy? AMD
R9-Nano Controversy? AMD Radeon most likely issues the new stuff to the reviewers who are helping, and interacting with the actual end users. I see that PCPer does cool things with the community… like the Fragging Frogs VLAN, live streams where gamers can have their questions answered by the vendors, numerous reviews that go in depth, an entertaining YouTube channel, and a website dedicated to the hardware, and the community. I don’t think AMD is at all influenced by the actual reviews/reviewers, I believe they are making smart business decisions to get their products smack dab into the heart of the action. It doesn’t matter to me if their product is the best or not, it’s good enough… and I appreciate their spirit.
Controversy is yet to unfold.
Controversy is yet to unfold. Isn’t it suspicious that every halo product from AMD do have a flaw (noisy pump, whining coils)? I wonder if there is (was?) someone on the competition payroll sabotaging work of others.
Nvidia is lucky(?) again having time to respond with something like semi-passive 980 within roughly the same for factor.
Like I said in my first
Like I said in my first comment… I believe they are putting their stuff out for real gamers. AMD probably understands that most gamers wouldn’t even be able to really hear/identify a coil whine, especially since most of us wear headphones anyways. With the Nano’s form factor… it’s safe to say that this is fit to go into some sort of portable gaming rig where it will be used at noisy LAN parties along with headphones, or it will go into a little HTPC that will be stored in the hardware cabinet. Coil whine is a non issue when you actually think about what we will use it for.
I stopped trusting MSI and
I stopped trusting MSI and it’s motherboards because of the VRMs and what I was reading from back then. Not to mention that I had a bad experience with an MSI mobo that was the updated version that was supposed to fix problems with 125W cpus. It died 2 months latter after putting a quad core phenom on that board. I will only take an MSI mobo as a gift. Not going to pay for it.
