Introduction

As the newest member of Thermaltake's Armor Revo case line, the Armor Revo Gene mid-tower case features sleek looks and exudes the humble power that only the war-worn warrior's know. We decided to put the Armor Revo Gene to the test to see how well the case works under a variety of circumstances. At a base price of $129.99, the Armor Revo Gene seems to be a well priced steal for the features designed into it.

The Armor Revo Gene features a flat-black, scratch-resistant coating on all surfaces, giving it a sleek and uniformly menacing look. The case's right panel contains a window in it upper half to show off your case innards, bisected by a grilled space for up to a 200mm side fan to help cool your PCI-Express cards. A wing-shaped aluminum front bezel helps to direct air through the front of the case in an optimal manner.

In addition to the normal power and reset buttons and indicators, the case's top panel has a built-in, SATA-based hot swap docking station for your hard drive and SSD needs, as well audio ports and USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports.

The interior of the Armor Revo Gene is powder coated in flat-black coloration, matching its exterior with rubber grommets covering all the access ports and a large cut-out for underneath the CPU cooler. All 5.25 and 3.5 inch drive bays are tool-less for easy drive access and removal. Thermaltake even included extra-large, swivel case feet to ensure good airflow from under the case as well.

There is a small typo in paragraph under the photo where you have installed a mini-ITX board and it reads:”With a micro-ITX form factor board, the amount of free space seems to overwhelm the board.” I believe there is no such form factor that exists. Its either micro-ATX or mini-ITX. please correct it.

hi man you made an excellent review, but i need your help. I bought this case in january and i want to put the side fan in the case, in the specs appear than the fan must be 200x200x30 so i got a 200mm thermaltake thunderblade led blue fan but it doesnt fit in the holes of the side of the case, when i read the box of the fan appear than it can be used in the front or the top of the cases, so i want to know if maybe the coolermaster 200mm megaflow can be used or wich reference fits well in the space of the side fan. Thanks. Juan C.
