Yes, we realize it’s actually a "flat bar" but that’s nearly as cool to say. Either way, wouldn’t you like to win one of these?
Tomorrow at 1pm EDT / 10am PDT we are going to be streaming a LIVE talk between myself and Tom Petersen centered around the GeForce GTX 690 dual-Kepler graphics card at https://pcper.com/live. We will talk about performance, power consumption, features, show demos and of course take user questions through our live chat room, twitter accounts and more.
But we also want to get your questions TODAY to help prepare for the event. If you have a burning question about the GTX 690 or the Kepler architecture and its features, leave us a comment below! (No registartion required.) Both NVIDIA’s Tom Petersen and I will give you our feedback. The best question will take home an NVIDIA crowbar so you too can be prepared for the coming apocalypse!
If you want, you can also send me a message on Twitter @RyanShrout or on our PC Perspective Facebook page.
Hurry though, we want them in tonight so we can sort and pick our favorites for the live event tomorrow. For all the details on tomorrow’s show, make sure you check our post right here!!
Seeing as most of what I’d
Seeing as most of what I’d want to know has already been asked I’ll throw a few arbitrary ones.
1. How noisy is the card and how does it compare to other cards?
2. What’s the thermal limit and how are the temps under stress conditions with the new cooler?
3. What was the main reasoning behind the $999 price tag? With the GK104 being set for a mid-range GPU with a mid-range price, the margins must have been viable to sell this card for $300-400?
4. And finally, can I have one?
I’d like to ask, what would
I’d like to ask, what would you have to run on your system in order to load up this card and make it work for its money.
and #2
are there any plans to make this Mac compatible ?
will i need crowbar to fend
will i need crowbar to fend off ati fans?
Or
that’s the only way to get it out my pc if i had a GTX 690.
correct if i am right but i
correct if i am right but i think so that the “data” from the graphics card goes to the main memory of the mobo through the cpu and return and then goes to monitor. i heard that the new kepler create a virtual memory which can understant the cpu and use it as mobo memory so it will be more faster, if that is true how it works and why eventually we deed the cpu to rule the work of the gpu and dont let the gpu rule it by herself.
sorry for my english.!

Will NVIDIA’s new Kepler
Will NVIDIA’s new Kepler Architecture be seen in a workstation gpu?
What about the GTX690 would
What about the GTX690 would make me pass on SLIing my current GTX680 i.e. selling it to turn around and buy a GTX690, besides form factor?
i just wonder there will be a
i just wonder there will be a driver to support PCIE 3 on this time with the relase of the 690 ?
Are there any disadvantages
Are there any disadvantages in going with the PLX bridge chip, instead of developing a bridge chip in house like the past iterations?
What is the difference between writing a driver for the 5xx cards and writing a driver for the 6xx cards?
(sorry kind of a M$ question) Will the introduction of windows 8 require all new drivers for these cards to be written?
Ryan,
In the Live review can
Ryan,
In the Live review can you ask about the improvements the GTX 690 may have with hardware frame metering?
Technically that’s not a crow
Technically that’s not a crow bar but a flat bar.
Why does not the 690 have a
Why does not the 690 have a HDMI output?
If this was your home extreme
If this was your home extreme machine, what MOBO would you choose to use for Quad-SLI, reason asking is I have noticed EVGA 2011 MOBO’s have new desgin, in which capacitors are smaller or I can’t notice them at all, is this a perhaps bettter desgin in you mind allowing for better thermal conditioning.
Thks…
