It is just a few short days until the 16th Fragging Frogs VLAN kicks off. Saturday, August 26th at 10AM EDT marks the official start, though you are certainly more than welcome to pop onto Teamspeak before then to get in some practice before then. Drop by this thread in the forums to let Lenny and the gang know you are coming and to make yourself eligible to win some of the amazing prizes which will be given out. Even if you don't win anything from Josh's closet you are still going to have a blast playing with the best gaming group going.
There are currently over 50 people signed up but I am sure we can make this even bigger so come on by on Saturday! If you want to make sure to maximize your fun, keep an eye on that thread for any updates or patches you might want to install before you start to play as well as to watch the list of scheduled games grow. That's right fellow gamers, in just over a weeks time you will be able to once again dedicate your Saturday to a truly noble effort, fragging friends, family and strangers in the 16th Fragging Frogs VLAN party. It kicks off at 10AM EDT and goes until the last player succumbs to weakness and falls asleep. Lenny is hard at work organizing the event as well as gathering hardware and other goodies for the giveaways.
You can't win unless you let him know you are coming by posting to this thread and if you don't set up Teamspeak then you'll never know if you won or not, not to mention that the day is a lot more fun when you are chatting with your fellow Frogs. The thread also lets you suggest games as well as providing valuable information on the event and getting your mods and patches set up.
Be there or be a pixellated block!

That's right, it is time for another Fragging Frog VLAN, this time lucky number 13, kicking off this Saturday morning. If you are at all interested in having the best possible Saturday ever then head to the forums and put your name in the list of attendees. If you are not a member of the Forums for some bizarre reason you need to sign up ASAP as it is members and contributors of PCPer and the Fragging Frogs who are given first shot at games and prizes. To that end you will need to post at least 5 times to our Forums between now and Saturday; pictures of SPAM not included.
The list of possible games is already quite long, from UT2K4 up to the newly released Overwatch, by way of Battle both field-ish and Front-ian with many more on the list. If you don't see one of your favourites post it to the thread and we will add it on. Before joining in, make sure to check out this thread here for the information you need to hop onto the TeamSpeak server so you can chat with your fellow gamers. You also need to join into the channel if you want to win any of the prizes which will be given away during the event.
That's right, prizes and gaming! The wonderful folks at AMD have sent over some mysterious parts for you to have a chance to win and several of the staff of PCPer have dug through their closets and sent out some of the gear we have reviewed recently. What could these be? Only one way to find out; see you on Saturday!

Tomorrow is the 6th official PC Perspective and Fragging Frogs Virtual LAN party, kicking off at 10AM EDT on Saturday May 3. You will find all the pertinent info on this thread in the Forums, such as how to Friend players on Steam or Origin, the Teamspeak server information and a list of the games we are likely to play as well as the patches and mods you will need.
Some reps from AMD will once again be joining us to give away prizes to those on the TeamSpeak server which you will need to log into in order to have a chance to win. Battlefeild 4 is a definite and you can be sure there will be some UT2004 being played as well. As well you are likely to get a chance to take a shot at the PC Perspective staff who will be showing up at various points during the day. There is also a high likelihood some of the games will be livestreamed
Come join us and have a blast!

This weekend, specifically at 10AM ET on February 22nd the fifth Virtual LAN Party kicks off, hosted by the famous Fragging Frogs and PC Perspective, with a good chance of some secret visitors from the Red Team. There is no set end time for the event nor for any of the games so if you have any time on Saturday in which you do not find yourself saving innocents from a fate worse than death* then hop on and play with us. You get to hang out with Forum members you have built friendships with, shoot those you hold a grudge against, and have the chance to frag Ryan, Josh and all the other PC Per staff brave enough to set foot into this battle royale.
*The only acceptable excuse to bail on us.
The games are many, both old and new; with a strong likelihood of every Battlefield game since 1942 represented along with spicy versions of Unreal 2004, Torchlight II, Hawken, a game involving heavy weapons versus dinosaurs and much more. You can see the whole list here and can suggest others if we missed one of your favourites. To prepare for the event you should install TeamSpeak 3 which is our chat client of choice; you can find the server info right here. Other than that just show up when you can and hop into the game of your choice.
We have been doing VLAN's on a very irregular schedule since 2010 but if this weekend goes well we might just start eating a bit more fibre and start a more regular schedule. There were once even tournaments held, though that was back when UT2K4 was shiny and new, which we could start up again. For even more fun, you could help the Frogs get back together on the regular schedule we used to hold to back in the golden days of yore. Don't forget to consider a jump in The Pond once you are finished playing, keep that CPU and GPU working full out!
This is also a great time to thank Lenny and AMD for the wonderful good deed that they did for one of our long term members. You can read about their good works here and be sure to thank them for putting the effort into helping out one of our own.
We look forward to seeing you there and shooting you several times.
