MSI is launching a refreshed GTX 1060 graphics card that uses GDDR5X for its 6GB of video memory rather than GDDR5. The aptly named GTX 1060 Armor 6GD5X OC graphics card shares many features of the existing Armor 6G OC (and OCV1) that the new card is a refresh of including the dual TORX fan Armor 2X cooler and maximum 4 display outputs among three DisplayPort 1.4, one HDMI 2.0b, and one DVI-D.
The new Pascal-based GPU in the upcoming graphics card is reportedly a cut-down variant of NVIDIA's larger GP104 chip rather than the GP106-400 used for previous GTX 1060s, but the core count and other compute resources remain the same at 1,280 CUDA cores, 80 TMUs, 48 ROPs, and a 192-bit memory bus. Clock speeds have been increased slightly versus reference specifications however at 1544 MHz base and up to 1759 MHz boost. The GPU is paired with 6 GB of GDDR5X that is curiously clocked at 8 GHz. The memory more than likely has quite a bit of overclocking headroom vs GTX 1060 6GB cards using GDDR5 but it appears MSI is leaving those pursuits for enthusiasts to explore on their own.
MSI is equipping its GTX 1060 Armor 6GD5X OC graphics cards with a 8+6 pin PCI-E power connection setup which should help overclockers push the cards as far as they can (previous GTX 1060 Armor OC cards had only a single 8-pin). Looking at the specification page the new card will be slightly shorter but with a thicker cooler at 276mm x 140mm x 41mm than the GDDR5-based card. As part of the Armor series the card has a white and black design like its predecessors.
MSI has not yet released pricing or availability information but with the GDDR5-based graphics cards priced at around $275 I would suspect the MSI GTX 1060 Armor 6GD5X OC to sit around $290 at launch.
I am curious how well new GTX 1060 graphics cards will perform when paired with faster GDDR5X memory and how the refreshed cards stack up against AMD's refreshed Polaris 30 based RX 590 graphics cards.

The RTX 2070 hasn't received anywhere near the coverage of its two bigger siblings but MSI might just change that with this announcement.
The RTX 2070 DUKE 8G OC GAMING Z comes with dual TORX Fan 3.0 in their TWIN FROZR 7 cooler , and is able to run completely silently at low temperatures thanks to the Zero Frozr design. This card will be compatible the MSI Dragon Center, which, with a single click, optimizes your GPU, SSD, monitor and network settings for gaming.
The DUKE incorporates three TORX Fan 2.0 into its TRI-FROZR cooler and will be the choice of those suffering from RGB overload. The ARMOR shares much of it's design with the GAMING Z, however it is wearing MSI's trademarked suite of ARMOR. Last but not least is the AERO, which features a blower design similar to the Founders Edition cards, good for smaller cases which need to remove heat from the case ASAP.

Beyond the Founders Edition, MSI has prepared six SKUs of the GTX 1080. These consists of four variants, two of which have an overclocked counterpart to make up the remaining two products. The product stack seems quite interesting, with a steady progression of user needs, but we'll need to wait for price and availability to know for sure.
We'll start at the bottom with the MSI GeForce GTX 1080 AERO 8G and MSI GeForce GTX 1080 AERO 8G OC. These are your typical blower designs that pull air in from within the case, and exhausts it out the back after collecting a bunch of heat from the GPU. It will work, it should be one of the cheapest options for this card, and it will keep the GTX 1080's heat outside of the case. It has a little silver accent on it, too. The non-overclocked version is the standard 1607 MHz / 1733 MHz that NVIDIA advertises, and the OC SKU is a little higher: 1632 MHz / 1771 MHz.
Next up the product stack are the MSI GeForce GTX 1080 ARMOR 8G and MSI GeForce GTX 1080 ARMOR 8G OC versions. This uses MSI's aftermarket, two-fan cooler that should provide much lower temperatures than AERO, but they exhaust back into the case. Personally? I don't really care about that. The only other thing that heats up in my case, to any concerning level at least, is my CPU, and I recently switched that to a closed-loop water cooler anyway. MSI added an extra, six-pin power connector to these cards (totaling 8-pin + 6-pin + slot power = up-to 300W, versus 8-pin + slot power's 225W). The non-overclocked version is NVIDIA's base 1607 MHz / 1733 MHz, but OC brings that up to 1657 MHz / 1797 MHz.
Speaking of closed-loop water coolers... The MSI GeForce GTX 1080 SEA HAWK takes the AERO design, which we mentioned earlier, and puts a Corsair self-contained water cooler inside it, too. Only one SKU of this is available, clocked at 1708 MHz base and 1847 MHz boost, but it should support overclocking fairly easily. That said, unlike other options that add a bonus six-pin connector, the SEA HAWK has just one, eight-pin connector. Good enough for the Founders Edition, but other SKUs (including three of the other cards in this post) suggest that there's a reason to up the power ceiling.
We now get to MSI's top, air-cooled SKU: the MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G. This one has their new TWIN FROZR VI, which they claim spins quieter and has fans that drag more air to spin slower than previous models. It, as you would assume from reading about ARMOR 8G, has an extra, six-pin power connector to provide more overclocking headroom. It has three modes: Silent, which clocks the card to the standard 1607 MHz / 1733 MHz levels; Gaming, which significantly raises that to 1683 MHz / 1822 MHz; and OC, which bumps that slightly further to 1708 MHz / 1847 MHz.
Currently, no pricing and availability for any of these.

The ASUS P67 Sabretooth sports Thermal Armor, a shell over most of the PCB giving it a unique look, but that's not all. It also helps to spread the heat generated from your components and caps and has thermal sensors embedded within to give you a really good look at the temperature of portions of your board. The UEFI BIOS caught The Tech Report's eye as did the performance. They aren't convinced that the board should have you upgrading before the looming release of the Z68 but if that is not within your budget, this board might be.
