The ASUS P5W64 WS Professional is a very unique board, based around the i975X, which means it could support Crossfire.  The board itself seems designed for a different use, as it seems the 8 monitor trick is being used a selling feature more than some kind of 4 card Crossfire, although it does leave space for a PCI-Express PPU.  The overclocking potential was not huge, at least not from the perspective of the tests X-bit Labs performed.

The ASUS M2NPV-VM is very handy for putting together a simple system.  With onboard audio, LAN and a graphics chip, it sets up very easily.  Even better, you can use monitors that require dual DVI, because the onboard graphics card can be used while another PCI Express card is running.  Don't plan on an SLI setup though, the onboard graphics isn't really designed for gaming.  Read all about this board at TweakTown.

Abit may well be turning into the comeback kid.  After fading to relative obscurity, these last few months have seen them releasing quite a few new boards.  The newest are up for review at The Tech Report, the AB9 Pro, based around the P965 northbridge is a very solid board, and the AW9D Max with it's P975X offers support for Crossfire and also features solid state capacitors instead of electrolytic ones.  That last feature may decide anyone who has had problems with leaking caps in the past.
