AnandTech received a nice surprise whe reviewing the entrance level ATI chipset based A8R-MVP from Asus. While this board is farily inexpensive and targeted at entrance level users, the features on the mobo and it's overclocking ability are impressive. The likely suspect in this case being the use of the ULi M1575 southbridge.
"If we always went with our assumptions, there would be no reason at all to test motherboards, and
thankfully, our first opinions are often proven wrong in the actual testing.

VIA's new K8T900 chipset is making the rounds today, so if you can pull yourself away from that shiny new Xbox, take a look at what they've included. Legion Hardware is a great place to start, to get a good idea how inclusive VIA made this chipset.
Don't forget to come back and read Ryan's review as well.
"The K8T900 is one of the best chipsets VIA has produced in quite some time and as it stands,

The Foxconn WinFast 761GXK8MC-S includes the newly released IGP from SIS, The Mirage. Read the full review at PC Stats to see how it stacks up to the N4 boards, both in price, and performance.
Don't forget to read Ryan's review of the A8N32-SLI either.
"The Foxconn WinFast 761GXK8MC-S motherboard is based upon a new chipset from
SiS which has a couple media-friendly assets.
A Quick Preview
This beefy board sports a ton of features, the most impressive of which is not one, not two, but four PCIe x16 slots! Quad-SLI might not be something that will work out but I bet SLI plus running multiple monitors with additional GPUs might entice some.
Introduction and Specifications
Asus is the first motherboard vendor to get a retail board out based on the new nForce4 SLI X16 chipset for the AMD systems. NVIDIA has been touting this as the ultimate gamer's platform and we were eager to see if the product matched the PR.

It's been a while since a batch of motherboards with Integrated Graphics Processors has been released. However, with the new nForce boards, we are seeing quite a few boards with a 6100 built in, like the Biostar GeForce 6100-M9 TForce reviewed by TweakTown. Consider it the next time you are putting together a system for a non-gamer.
"The integrated desktop graphics market is often one which is overlooked by many users.
