VIA Arena has compiled a huge list of all UMPCs that have a C7-M at their hearts. Some you probably have not heard of, but other like the OQO and Gigabyte's M700 are a little more famous. Their first page gives you an overview and thumbnail of the UMPCs, the second page provides you with specs.

The Inquirer had a chance to see three new Qosmio laptops, all using Toshiba's proprietary Synergistic Processor Elements, as opposed to a processor from VIA, Intel or AMD. Drop by for a look at the hardware inside them, but we will have to wait a while before we can see the performance numbers

Now that HP owns Voodoo, they have been changed into a 'lifestyle' brand and are targeted at a market similar to Apple. The Envy 133 is the first notebook produced from this new focus, and apart from the lack of any citrus themed logos, it is a carbon fibre version of a Macbook Air. They also have a full sized system, the Omen, which will run about $10,000 and require an invitation from Voodoo to purchase. Otherwise; no Omen for you. Check out the full specs at AnandTech.

While touring the ASUS booth this morning I noticed a notebook on display that didn't have a name attached to it or a PR person assigned to guard it. Acer's Aspire 6920G is really into multimedia, both making it look good, and making it easy to view. It has a 16" screen, at 1366x768 resolution (aka 16:9) and a 'CineDash' a touch sensitive section of the keyboard to make playing movies easy as well as full 5.1 sound. It is a choice for those looking not for the lightest or the most powerful, but for those wanting to watch a few movies while they are on the go.
