VIA Arena provide a preview of the TufTab v7112XT UMPC. Wrapped around a 7" LCD, with a 1.3MP camera that can take shots at 1280x1024 or video at 15fps in SVGA/30fps VG. The sides are where the input and output ports are, including an Ethernet LAN port, headphone jack, USB 2.0 port, VGA out, DC power jack, a PCMCIA slot and a SD-IO/MMC slot. The ASUS A8J offers a 14" widescreen LCD, a pair of stereo speakers, a 2 GHz C2D T7200, 1 GB of DDR2 and a ATI Mobility Radeon X1700, plus more peripheral ports than you can shake a stick at. It can also be used to mod your battery, by using more powerful cells, you can get a battery that last longer than the original did. Make sure you read all the warnings, otherwise you or your laptop may end up quite sad.

The first had bad interface software and the technical spec were too slow to enjoy it's use, the second revision helped the interface, but it was still slow. The new version, the N800 is powered by an ARM 330MHz with 128MB of SDRAM and an additional 256MB of Flash RAM.
