HotHardware reviews Gigabyte's 7950 GT, a nice alternative to the 7900 GTX.  This particular model comes with a full version of Civ4 and a large Zalman cooler which allows some nice overclocking possibilities.

Lee also offers you an alternative to buying a new VGA, with the Thermalright HR-03 VGA Cooler, which cools hot graphics cards well without a fan, and even better with one.

I don't think this is a suprise to most of us, but the Inq is reporting more info stating a March release for their DX10 GPU

The last revision of the prototype chip - upon which a certain "pre-review" is based - also suffers from problems which are serious enough to get another re-spin, sources tell me. This re-spin puts a hold on the launch for another couple of weeks, and now R600 is looking like an early March launch, probably the week before SnowBIT in Hangover.

Apparently, a new site by the name of Level 505 was able to get a hold of the specs and some early benchmarks for the new R6000 GPU coming from ATI early next year.  Dailytech has coverage of the news as well:

This time around it appears AMD is going for a different approach by equipping the ATI R600 with less unified shaders than NVIDIA's recently launched GeForce 8800 GTX.

Say what?  Yep, OCZ is entering the graphics card market!

OCZ said that it will launch its graphics card later today. Newegg is suppose to have some limited quntity of the cards as early as today and as soon as the West Coast wakes up.

The card comes at default Nvidia clocks, but OCZ endorses you to overclock the heck out of it. OCZ will handtest each card and will sell you the best overclocked ones. It comes clocked at 575MHz core and 1800MHz memory.

NVIDIA Prepping G84 for March 2007

According to the Inquirer, NVIDIA is preparing a new entry-level graphics card to replace the 7300 based on the G80 architecture.

This is set to replace Geforce 7300 from the market. Nvidia is really having problems making a real impact on the entry-level market but maybe will have better luck with this introduction.

The chip is a cut down version of the G80 and will probably come up with some odd memory controller number.

The BFG 8800 GTS Card

BFG's 8800 GTS model doesn't stray from the reference design much, but that isn't a bad thing as we see in our performance tests of a single card and SLI configuration.
