Futuremark comic strip competition

HEXUS links to a site that has invented the first mouse benchmark.  Covering 17 mice, and testing for their ability to perform at high speeds.  His graphs represent perfect performance, some small malfunctions in accuracy and total disappearance of accuracy.  Check this out, this much work deserves some recognition.

Killer NIC for Christmas, or not?

[H]ard|OCP is trying to put the discussions over whether the BigFoot Killer NIC is worth it.  At a cost comparable with a good video card upgrade (but not a great one), you would expect to see some improvement in your experience.  It turns out that you might well be happy with it, if you play the right games.

Sony's got the blues

Blu-Ray isn't doing so well.  Sony's new format seems to have reminded people of previous failed attempts by the company to introduce new formats, and they aren't buying it.  Add to that Microsoft and HP's backing of HD DVD, dual sided/dual format DVDs and a cheaper price, and it isn't looking good for Sony.  Digital Trends has gathered more information into an article.
