AMD is really working hard to promote their low powered, green solutions for PCs.  According to DigiTimes, we should be seeing a pair of triple core Phenoms as well as a quad core well before the end of the year.  They also mention that the end of life for the X4 9100e is coming up very soon; with plenty of new parts to replace it soon.

Intel's Q6600 found it's way into the systems of a lot of gamers when it arrived.  While not their top performing part by a long shot, it was a quad core with some overclocking potential and a dirt cheap price.  They will be doing it again with the Q8200 according to DigiTimes.  The exclusion of VT and TXT is amusing, just how many gamers want the re-reincarnation of Palladium in their PCs to begin with?

Firefox 3, which we have heard a lot about, is to be available next Tuesday.  No point in lining up early, even if you did decide to participate in the promise to download it the first day it becomes available.  The mozdev site is holding up to todays Slashdotting, but how will it handle serving up the full Firefox 3 download?
