With a 16:9 ratio and a resolution of 1280x720, the InFocus Play Big IN76 DLP projector offers big HD at a good price. The Tech Lounge had the screen set to 130" during their testing, and had no image quality problems at all. The drawback to projectors are the bulbs, which do blow from time to time, and this projector is no different, it's replacements will set you back $400.

Viewsonic's VP2330wb is a monitor, plain and simple. No HDTV connectors, no S-Video, no speakers, just a well designed 23" TFT type LCD. With an 16ms grey to grey response time, the Samsung 244T might not seem like the best monitor for gaming and action movies, but at 24 inches viewable it deserves a little slack. Bona Fire Reviews can show you a lot more about it, including a good idea how big it is, by measuring the screen in CDs.

BFR reviews the Samsung SyncMaster 244T 24" WUXGA LCD. In addition to the DVI and analog inputs you would expect, it also accepts component, CVSB, and S-Video. Even more uncommon, this display can do Picture In Picture, and Picture Beside Picture.
