Synthetic: SiSoft Sandra



The synthetic CPU scores for the P4 processors are very impressive, but show very little as to the real world performance of each platform in real world applications.  The memory test in Sandra shows the Prescott having the advantage over the Northwood, courtesy of the additional cache though the on-die memory controllers of the Athlon 64 processors (in dual channel FX CPUs) are higher.
