It has been some time since we have heard from Tyan in regards to a single processor motherboard for the AMD Athlon XP processors. Until now Tyan has been content with being the leading manufacturer and designer of Athlon MP multi-processor motherboards with their extensive line of Thunder K7 and Tiger MP series of motherboards.

Perhaps seeing a new niche market coming into place with the release of the 333 MHz front-side bus and the addition of the Barton processor to the AMD lineup, Tyan has once again made an attempt to enter the enthusiast market. What’s more, where Tyan used to be known for their very bare-bones setups and with meager options, the new Trinity KT400 board is changing that by offering one of the better KT400 feature sets we have seen here at Amdmb.com.
