The Soyo Dragon series of motherboards for the Athlon processors has become one of the most successful from any manufacturer. The original K7V Dragon board that was released was based around VIA's KT266 chipset and did very well in the DIY market. It’s follow up, the K7V Dragon Plus that was built around the KT266A chipset also made a clean cut in the motherboard market. Now, we have the K7V Dragon Ultra motherboard that uses yet another VIA chipset, this time the KT333 chipset we introduced back in February.


The boards before the Ultra won high marks here at Amdmb.com for their ability to cater towards what the power-user in the AMD market wants. They were good overclockers, with all the features you could imagine; they were stable which in itself is a big feat sometimes; and they offered lots of features that were useful to the end user including RAID and others.


The K7V Dragon Ultra motherboard continues these trends while adding a bit of an aesthetic point to the matter. :)
